Niceville To Tampa

Having had a wonderful evening with the Pangles in Niceville, we left in early morning in an attempt to reach Tampa before our energy and butts wore out.  The trip was rather uneventful due to the straight roads that seem to run forever and the repetitive scenery.  However, we stuck to the side roads and avoided the Interstate Highways to help us achieve some sense of adventure.  We traveled  Florida 20 to US 19 toward Tampa, cutting over to IH 75 just north of the city and stopping about 20 miles north of MacDill AFB for the night.

Along the way, we found a very interesting courthouse in Blountstown, Florida, crossed a couple rain heavy rivers (the Apalachicola and the Suwannee).  Traffic on US 19 was light and we made good time toward our objective.

There's not much more to add to this day's journey as the cities and items of interest were pretty sparse on our route until we arrived near Tampa.  Future journals, as you will see, have much more information in them.
